We read the book "if the world were a village" (and watched the video) to gather some information about what the world would be like if it was condensed into a village of 100 people.
After, we discussed what we saw/ heard, and wrote down some of the BIG IDEAS.

- How many people have enough money for basic needs and more? How many do not have enough for basic needs?
- How many people have enough food? How many are facing starvation?
- How do the number of people with access to clean air and water availability compare? Which is the greater problem?
- How is the global population changing? Why is this a problem?
- What can we do as individuals to help people locally and globally?
- What organizations are there that help people who are struggling with:
- poverty (little money for food and shelter / clothing)
- education
- poor air and water / pollution
- racism, prejudice, and war
