To start off our fractions unit, we will be looking at multiples (numbers that are created by multiplying a number by different numbers) of numbers from 1-9. By looking at patterns in these numbers we can better understand the divisibility rules for each of those numbers.
Factors (numbers that multiply together to make a number) and divisibility rules will help us to make equivalent fractions in order to simplify fractions (put them in their lowest terms) and also to add and subtract fractions.
The file attached sums up the divisibility rules we looked at in class.
