Grade 10 Essential Mathematics (20S) is intended for students whose post-secondary planning does not include a focus on mathematics and science-related fields. This course has been developed to allow students to transition to the work world with basic knowledge in every day mathematical situations.
Objectives: This course prepares students by teaching them number sense, consumer problem-solving and decision-making. Essential Math is intended to help students become “informed” consumers and will provide students with the necessary skills.
