Grade 6-8 Choral
The grade 6-8 choral focus is on music theory concepts, vocal rehearsal techniques and performance skills. A variety of projects and presentations also allow the students to express themselves in unique and creative ways.

In Choral, students will be assessed in the following 4 categories:
Language and Performance Skills 30%
-language and terminology in discussion and rehearsal
-performances and critiques
-skill development & progression
Creative Expression 20%
-individual style and expression
-projects and performances
Knowledge and Understanding of Music 30%
(Culture and Society)
-individual assignments, projects and presentations
-research and connections to culture
Analysis and Communication 20%
-self and peer assessment
-music theory tests (based on notes and exercises from class)
